Badass Brews

Badass Brews is a veteran-owned brewery and kitchen in downtown Green River, opened in 2023 inside the historic Tomahawk Hotel. The idea started with friends unhappy with the beer they were drinking. After years of brewing in a garage and testing batches on the back patio, they turned a former coffee shop into a full production brewery and kitchen. The owners installed and calibrated most of the equipment themselves. They credit military service with teaching discipline and teamwork and mining with teaching patience. The brewery hires veterans and supports veteran groups in Wyoming. More than 10 beers are on tap, all brewed in house, including the Juice Box Citrus IPA, a West Coast style; Fools Gold honey brown ale; and Spicy Juan, a jalapeño lager, plus rotating seasonal and barrel-aged beers. The kitchen makes burgers and other dishes to order, and work boots are welcome.
