Lander Brewing Co
About
Lander Brewing Company takes its name from a brewery that operated in Lander in the late 1800s, in a small building just over the Popo Agie River from today’s brewery. That first brewery thrived for years until Prohibition forced it to stop production. The brewery was re-established about 120 years later, and it is now the town’s only local brewery. Under brewmaster David Morton, it has won many awards. In 2011 it won the Saratoga Steinley Cup, the state’s top microbrewery award, and several of its beers have earned medals from the North American Brewers Association and the Great American Beer Festival. The brewery originally reopened to supply craft beer to the Cowfish restaurant and the Lander Bar next door. More than a decade later, it has grown substantially and now supplies its beers to other restaurants and bars in Lander and beyond.
